OVERVIEW
The Costa Palmas sailing fleet includes six RS TERA SPORT sailing dinghies. The RS Tera Sport is a sporty rotomolded plastic hull, fully buoyant, self-bailing, single-masted, single-sail performance sailing dinghy used around the world as an introductory to advanced training platform. They are easy to handle and a lot of fun for both kids and adults!
The Memorial Day Weekend Sailing School has been designed to provide a taste of what is to come with Costa Palmas Sailing, and we encourage everyone to give it a try. The only prerequisite will be a swim test to confirm that all participants can comfortably swim 50 yards.
MORNING SCHEDULE | FREE RIDES
9:30 am to 12:00 pm
SAIL INTO SUMMER
Join us for a complimentary 20-minute solo sail with one of our instructors, Paula Velasquez, and Jackson Willett. Rides will start every 20 minutes from 9:30 am until 12:00 pm. With two instructors, we can run 14 rides each day.
No reservations are required. First come first served. Meet us at the Aventura Beach Station at the Beach Club. See you there!
AFTERNOON SCHEDULE
1:30 pm to 4:30 pm
LEARN TO SAIL PROGRAM
Learn To Sail is a semi-private three-hour introduction to sailing. At the end of the day, kids will have learned the basics of the sailing world. Learn To Sail will run every afternoon from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm and is open to four children per afternoon.
