COSTA PALMAS TO ISLA CERRALVO
Isla Cerralvo, officially known as Isla Jacques Cousteau, features underwater topography and currents that attract vast amounts of marine life. Virtually all local marine species migrate past the island, and with water clarity extending up to 30 meters, it is an excellent spot for both snorkeling and big game fishing. You can expect to see abundant golden grouper, marlin, sailfish, swordfish, broadbill, and more.
Isla Cerralvo is located off the Cerralvo Canal coast and is the ninth-largest island in Mexico—18 miles long with a land area of 136,498 square kilometers.
You’ll embark on your yacht in the morning for a gentle cruise north towards the island, spending the day exploring both land and sea. The sunset views from the island are brilliantly colorful, providing the perfect backdrop for an onboard cocktail. Your onboard chef will prepare a wonderful dinner, and you’ll spend the night at anchor. The following day, after a leisurely breakfast, you will cruise back to Costa Palmas.

The Sea of Cortez, rich in life, landscapes, and islands, offers so much to explore that a single day and night will leave you wanting more. Spending time at sea opens up vast new horizons, allowing you and your family to deeply immerse yourselves in the incomparable natural world around us.
DAY 1: COSTA PALMAS TO BALANDRA COVE
Depart in the morning from Costa Palmas accompanied by playful pods of dolphins, and cruise towards the beautiful Bay of Balandra. Spend the afternoon enjoying water activities such as kayaking, paddleboarding, and jet skiing in the shallow, crystal-clear waters. As you cruise towards the stunning Baja California Bay, enjoy the sunset on board the yacht and keep an eye out for El Hongo de Balandra—the Mushroom of Balandra, a unique rock formation shaped by thousands of years of erosion. After dinner, conclude your evening with a memorable stargazing experience at sea.
DAY 2: BALANDRA COVE TO ISLA ESPIRITU SANTO
Watch the scenery unfold as we cruise from Bahia San Gabriel to the uninhabited Isla Espiritu Santo, a UNESCO Natural Protected Area and World Heritage Site known for its astounding biodiversity of endemic flora, fauna, marine life, and archaeological remains. Head ashore over aquamarine waters by tender or kayak and stroll along the white-sand beaches, which contrast beautifully with the island’s vibrant red, pink, and brown volcanic rocks. To the north, Punta Prieta offers excellent snorkeling, while hiking enthusiasts can follow the trail from the beach to Playa Bonanza.
DAY 3: ISLA ESPIRITU SANTO TO ISLA PARTIDA
At sunrise, we’ll set off for the enchanting Isla Partida, anchoring in the turquoise waters at the northern tip of Ensenada Grande. While you enjoy breakfast aboard, sea lions will be frolicking at the nearby Los Islotes Islands. You can tender over to swim among the playful sea lion pups—an unforgettable experience. The reefs around Isla Partida offer excellent snorkeling, and on the island, you can visit caves and explore beaches renowned for turtle nests. For those interested in fishing, Marisla Seamount, a few miles away, provides great action, or you can dive with manta rays and schools of hammerhead sharks.
DAY 4: ISLA PARTIDA TO ISLA SAN FRANCISCO
We’ll cruise to Half Moon Bay and the uninhabited Isla San Francisco, once home to gold miners and pearl prospectors. Today, you can discover a different kind of gold—the yellowtail surgeonfish—while snorkeling the area’s rocky reefs. It’s the perfect day for sunbathing on deck, enjoying the yacht’s tenders and toys, and paddleboarding to the beach. In the late afternoon, we’ll cruise back to Costa Palmas, enjoying the sunset along the way.
